About Tara Norris
Tara grew up in Birmingham, England, as the daughter of Irish immigrants and now lives in Dublin, Ireland, after many years abroad. She is fluent in French and proficient in Spanish. Tara has always been passionate about film and travel. She has strong organisational and planning skills that she brings to every production.
Tara’s favourite directors include Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Pedro Almodóvar, and Mel Brooks. She dreams of filming in New York and France.
Tara has written and directed 9 short films and produced 7 others. Her short film, Proposing To Ciara, won ‘Best Indie Short’ at the Dublin International Comedy Film Festival in 2024, and her script, The Coffin, won ‘Best Live Script Read’ at the same festival in 2025.
Tara has undergone extensive training in screenwriting, production, and direction, including training in Albert Sustainability, some of which has been sponsored. She has written numerous short and feature scripts, comedy and satirical sketches, and has contributed to the @newscheckcomedy writers’ room.
